May corn is up 5 cents per bushel, May soybeans are up 1 1/4 cents, May KC wheat is up 17 cents, May Chicago wheat is up 12 1/4 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is up 11 3/4 cents.
Packers could not hold out any longer and paid the asking prices for cattle Friday, resulting in a significant increase in cash prices. This should keep the uptrend intact. Hog futures showed some spread unwinding, supporting the nearby months and pressuring the deferred.
